There is a new Ajax IDE on the block, and it is built on Mozilla code. Or at least it is new to me, I have not seen mention of it around before today.
Jaxer is an Ajax server that plugs into the broader Aptana Studio. I’m not sure at this point if the whole IDE is built on Mozilla, or just some of the Jaxer bits. It is intriguing, however. Read more about it over at Ajaxian, and a number of screen casts are up. The Mozilla link runs deeper than the code, if you look at the advisory board.
Oh, and one of the selling points of the Studio is support for Adobe Air. Mark Finkle is probably having a laugh (or choking) at the irony of it all.

Aptana’s been around for a while and is pretty handy.
It’s long overdue for XUL Booster to get ported to Aptana… make the hello world firefox extension as easy as an air app.
The IDE itself is Eclipse-based, IIRC.
yet another Java-based bloatware app
