Kudos to Flickr

The new official Flickr Upload Tool (Uploadr 3.0) is out of beta.

And it is built on XULRunner. Nice job to the Flickr/Yahoo! team, especially Richard Crowley. It is well-designed, easy-to-use, and has a few more features that Fotofox does not have such as image rotation and adding descriptions.

    It could be great. If I could only get a version for Linux, but it seems Flickr insists on sending us to third party tools, which they insist won’t be their problem if things go bump in the night.

    Sadly, dragging pictures from iPhoto onto the uploader on mac just stalls, and leaves the flickr-progress instead of anything in the pane. No way to delete those, either.

    Jumped back to fotofox ;-)
