Art Through Add-ons

My good pal Jaka Železnikar who I wrote about before, has been featured in a great interview on iCommons. He talks about his views on art, his influences, and works in general. Quite interesting are his expressions through Firefox add-ons. Favourite quote (about Changer):

…fucks web pages up completely. It destroys the layout, it can change the text, it rotates the images, changes text sizes, it can surf by itself … basically it’s a nightmare of web usability. But at the same time you get very interesting visual structures based on a page’s original design.

Maybe he was trying to imitate IE6 rendering! Anyways, if you around Dubrovnik (stunning spot I hear, have only explored N. Croatia so far myself) between 15-17 June, head on over to the Creative Commons iCommons Summit to meet Jaka and discover plenty of other cool stuff going on.

This is *really* interesting Brian … I especially dug the reference in Jaka’s interview to Jodi, who I remember well from the old days of the Web. Thanks for the post.
