Hi, after some very quick testing, I found a bug with this. When it comes to the part of pre-installing up to 5 xpi files, if you “browse” and add a first one, things are fine. When it comes to clicking the second “browse” box, the third is actually filled in with your choice! There may be other bugs, but that’s the one I noticed there. Please check it out.
PS. It would be nice also to have a download link under the install link for people who just want to download it but install it on other machines. Cheers.
The page says “NOTE: If you add certificates to Firefox, you CANNOT ship a browser outside of your company or institution and call it Firefox. This feature is intended primarily for corporate and institutional users that will be deploying Firefox.” Are all of the other customizations listed on that page allowed? If so, the page should say so. If not, the page should explain which of the supported customizations are allowed under the trademark policy (perhaps using a table), so I don’t have to read the entire trademark policy just to find that out.

That was a bug, I fixed it. Please be aware though that installing browser plug-ins does NOT mean installing XPIs or extensions. This is referring to NP* style browser plugins. For instance IBM has a plugin we use for our corporate directory.

I’ll add a link for direct download.

I’ll add a comment that the other customizations are allowed. The CCK was done with the full support of the foundation, and the changes that are made are equivalent to similar functionality Netscape allowed in their CCK and that ISPs do to deploy custom browsers.
Can anyone make these customizations and still say “Download Firefox!” on their site, or are these customizations only to be made by ISPs for their customers and companies for their employees?
Jesse: the customisations which you are allowed to do depend on which of the trademark policies you are working under. Any table in the CCK documentation might get out of sync with the licensing website, so I’m not convinced that’s a good idea.
The note about certificates was added specifically because that’s something we take particularly seriously.
